4. mY faVoRiTe quOtE..

Day 4, Saturday: Favorite quote (from a person, from a book, etc) and why you love it

I have never been a great fan of quotes. But if I have to pick one its got to be this.

“For every quote out there, there is an equal and opposite quote somewhere else!”

And why I love it? because it is so true.

A silent man is a wise one.
A man without words is a man without thoughts.

What will be, will be.
Life is what you make it.

Never too old to learn.
You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

Cross your bridges when you come to them.
Forewarned is forearmed.

  2. Hey Nina... Nice. One of my fave's:

"It's nice to be important, but, much more, it's important to be nice."

    Have a great day, Slu

  5. That's the beauty of balance Nature likes to throw over our head each time we think we are smart! :)

  9. Good examples! All quotations are essentially half-truths and like all half-truths, they are half-false as well.

  10. Yes--so true. I can't count how many times I've posted a quote on facebook, and someone has rebutted it. lol. :-)

  11. So, the equal and opposite quote to this one should read something like,
"A quote not which is not out there yet, has no equal and opposite quote elsewhere!"

wait... that just sounds like a corollary to your quote! I'll try again:

"For every equal and opposite quote existing somewhere, there exists a quote"

...hey wait again, doesn't it mean the same as the original quote, despite being equal & opposite!

Guess I'll not overanalyze and just take your word for it :)
